Frenock mechanism: Advance the lead by simply shaking the pencil with the tip facing downward.

Frelock mechanism: Push the clip upward to lock the Frenock mechanism. Push the clip back down to release the lock, helping prevent accidental lead advancement while carrying the pencil.

Clip Knock mechanism: Lead can also be advanced by pressing the clip.
