The Dr. Grip Ace pencil, an evolution of the Dr. Grip series, features a new mechanism called "Last One Sign (LAS-1 SIGN)". When there is only one spare lead left in the lead tank, the sign appears in the window on the body of the pen. As the writing lead becomes shorter, the spare lead inside the tank starts to move down toward the pen tip, causing the top part of the tank to slide down along with the spare lead. This action triggers the sign to appear in the window, helping prevent the sudden disappearance of the lead.
